SCA Foundation Joins Better Homes and Gardens HeartHealthyOnline.com as a 2012 Winner
The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation website, www.sca-aware.org, has been named one of five "Best of Cardiac & Heart Sites" by Pacific Medical Training (PMT), an online medical training company. PMT reviewed hundreds of cardiac websites before naming the five 2012 winners.
The Foundation site is "doing wonders to create awareness, education and a reduction in the number of deaths or disabilities due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)," according to PMT. "This foundation provides SCA News, Blog posts, Active Forum Topics, AED information, Survivor Stories, Survivor Videos and more." It offers "a content-rich site, providing an abundance of information around SCA and the efforts of their foundation."
According to PMT, www.sca-aware.org content is "current and well written." In addition, the site is "visually appealing with relevant themes and calls to action...easy to navigate...and creative," displaying "unique concepts that don’t hinder user-experience."
"We fully appreciate and can understand the time and commitment it takes to maintain a website and continue to provide current content easily accessible to the sites viewers," said PMT in announcing the 2012 winners.
The SCA Foundation is honored to be recognized. "We are thrilled that Pacific Medical Training has selected our website from among hundreds of cardiac websites as one of five 2012 winners," said Mary Newman, MS, SCA Foundation president. "We are indebted to our webmaster, Michael Kuhleman, of M2 Technology, for his outstanding work on behalf of the Foundation, and to our content writers and bloggers, especially Jeremy Whitehead, A.J. Caliendo, and Bob Trenkamp. We expect that with the addition of our new online community, the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Network, we will see even more exciting developments with the website in the months ahead."
