
The ways spouses and significant others influence outcomes for
patients with implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) will beexplored by Samuel F. Sears, PhD,
on May 14, at the Heart Rhythm Society Scientific Sessions in Denver.
The presentation will be part of a session on the influence of social
relationships on outcomes for ICD patients.
Dr. Sears is a member of the SCA Foundation Advisory Council and Director of Health Psychology Program East Carolina University, Department of Psychology, Department of Cardiovascular Sciences.
