We have an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of researchers at Columbia University in New York in a NeuroCardiac Comprehensive Care for Caregivers & Families (N4C-F) survey. This effort is being led by Dr. Sachin Agarwal, Assistant Professor of Neurology and Director of N4C-F Clinical & Research Program.
The survey was developed with input from key stakeholder organizations including Parent Heart Watch (PHW), Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation, and Buddy CPR. Results from this survey will be essential to developing resources and programs to enhance knowledge, promote self-care, and improve ways to alleviate distress for caregivers and family members after their loved one experiences a cardiac arrest.
You are eligible to complete the survey if you:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Are/were a caregiver or close family member of someone who experienced a cardiac arrest
- Have access to the Internet to complete an online survey.
The survey will be conducted using an online survey tool, REDCap, which has procedures in place to protect the privacy and confidentiality of research participants.
In appreciation of your participation in the online survey, you will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for $25, in the form of an electronic gift card. A total of 100 participants will be selected at random at the end of the survey period.
The overall survey results will be shared at PHW's 17th Annual National Heart to Heart on January 14-16, 2022, in Chandler, Arizona.
Your cooperation in completing the survey will be most helpful and appreciated.
Best wishes,
Mary M. Newman, MS
