I had returned home from work and was helping my young daughter with homework. When I was sitting at the table, I had a cardiac arrest. My husband, who caught me before I hit the floor and, had never performed CPR before. But he called the emergency services and through instruction, kept going for 12 minutes before ambulances arrived. They brought back via a defibrillator. I was in a coma and spent some time in hospital, where it was found I have a rare heart condition called Long QT Syndrome and now have my own ICD fitted. I am so lucky to be here, and if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be here today being able to nominate him for this amazing act.
