The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation is working with the New York State Psychiatric Institute and Columbia University Department of Psychiatry on research related to the aftermath of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) survival. The research group seeks to connect with survivors from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. If you have been struggling with the emotional aftermath of surviving a sudden cardiac arrest, you may be eligible to participate in a research study investigating a new psychotherapy specifically for SCA survivors.

Researchers are currently recruiting a small number of survivors in the tri-state area for this study. If eligible for participation you will receive a free evaluation and eight sessions of therapy. Study participants will be compensated for their time and will also receive a Fitbit watch as part of the study. See the attached flyer for more details and contact information to the study team. Eligibility assessment and enrollment will be processed in the order received, and recruitment will close once the study slots have been filled.
